Our office will be closed on Monday, September 1, in observance of Labor Day.
Dr. Hwang will be out of the office September 4-9 and October 3-8. Urgent medical issues will be covered by Dr. Sue Kanter. You may reach Tanya during normal business hours or reach Dr. Kanter for urgent matters after hours by calling our office phone number. Tanya will communicate with Dr. Kanter during normal business hours. (Note that Dr. Kanter does not check for patient messages in the Patient Fusion portal). Dr. Hwang will continue to check for medication refills while she is away. On Tuesday, September 9, Dr. Hwang will cover remotely for urgent medical issues by communicating with Tanya during the day and intermittently checking for portal/EMR messages. If you encounter a delay in a call back for an urgent after-hours call due to Dr. Hwang’s travel that evening, please then seek medical care at Urgent Care or a local emergency room if you feel your condition warrants it.
Our office will close at 2:30PM on Tuesday, October 6 and at 3PM on Wednesday, October 7. After those hours, routine messages will be retrieved the next business day, and urgent messages will be handled as usual through Dr. Kanter’s coverage.
Tanya Alston has been working with Dr. Hwang as a medical assistant for much of Dr. Hwang’s medical career. Patients appreciate her warm personality, professionalism, patient-centered focus and adept technical skills.
